Straight-Up Coffee + Food

This project had a brief to match the name – a straight up, no fuss environment that appealed to and connected with its clientele. By using a refined palette of materials, concrete, form-ply and tas oak, the café has a subtle backdrop that allows the re-purposed / vintage fixtures, the artwork and, most importantly, the delicious vegan-inspired food to stand centre stage. We worked with the owners to design a functional work-space that supported their work flow and expressed the message of the business. Straight-up Coffee + Food café has such a strong character and vibe, by keeping the fit-out simple, the designed space provides a calm and nourishing backdrop for a healthy and bustling café.
