New Town Renovation

The aim of our New Town renovation was to improve the warmth, light and family connection with each other and the outdoors. The project improved the thermal efficiency by increasing insulation and passive solar gain and increased light through carefully place high level north facing windows. The new family room is the heart of the home, giving the family a warm and comfortable space to be together whilst providing connection to the kitchen and the outside living space.

The existing fabric of the brick bungalow is still visible within the new living space and the kids little painted hand prints had to stay for the memories! Universal design was employed to allow for flexible use, accessibility and ageing gracefully. A simple and natural palette of materials complement the existing brick bungalow style and keep the building timeless. Our clients said that it is better than they ever imagined and their power bills have been significantly reduced!
